Welcome To My About Page

It’s sort of like a business autobiography, yeah?

I’ve spent thousands of hours writing about other people, enjoying every word. But ask me to write about myself? Yeah, now I’ll need about six shots of espresso, a frantic “does this sound right?” Facetime to my best friend, and a 6-month extended timeline.

But alas, the About page really is my favorite page on a site and I hope this will be no different. Cheers to doing hard things!

Let’s Get This Out Of The Way...

Reveal Was Founded On The Desire To Say More With Less

Without sacrificing impact or outcome

WORK WITH ME

Rooted in principles from traditional journalism, modern marketing, and behavior economics, my approach to copywriting is bold, no bullsh*t, and always on purpose. I believe anything worth saying shouldn’t require extra fluff. I'm direct and intentional with just the right amount of edge, operating with a singular goal in mind: Write words that move your people (toward you, of course).

My 3 Areas Of Expertise Walk Into A Bar

Just kidding, I’m actually allergic to alcohol (but these are my areas of expertise)

01

I always thought I’d become a documentarian, specifically covering stories of bravery, grief, and the human experience.

Journalism: Storytelling + Research

Since I was young, I always said I wanted to “be a voice for the voiceless.” It might sound silly, but that’s still my deepest dream.

And while Reveal might not save lives, I like to think I help brands and business owners find, own, and amplify their voices—giving them permission to say what they mean in a way that’s real, powerful, and effective.

Plus, I get to do my absolute favorite thing—extensive research into niche topics!

But if ten years from now you’re scrolling Netflix and see my face underneath a title on the “Documentary” tab, consider yourself warned.

02

There’s something exhilarating about challenging yourself to ideate, execute, and deploy ideas, campaigns, and offers in creative and impactful ways.

Marketing: Positioning + Creativity

The idea that, even though most products and services have already been created, the way in which you position them can make them feel new, innovative, and enticing.

It’s an absolute thrill when one of your ideas takes off. When you help a brand execute their best launch yet or come up with creative ways to position and market offers in saturated industries.

Great marketing doesn’t care about education or experience, all that matters are results. I’m grateful and proud of the results I’ve helped attain for clients—big and small.

I distinctly remember the moment I made the decision not to study neuroscience.

Psychology: Sales + Persuasion

It wasn’t because the brain didn’t fascinate me, it’s because I couldn’t see myself as a neuroscientist (since I hadn't a clue what one actually did or looked like).

But my obsession with the brain, both physiologically and psychologically, never stopped. In fact, psychology became my secondary area of study and prepared me for continued ed in neuromarketing.

Today, most of my brain-focus is on sales psychology and behavior economics. I’m constantly keeping up to date on the latest research and finding ways to infuse those insights into client copy, resources, and templates.

Are you a nerd, too? Ask me about my favorite brainy books!

The story behind the writer

How Did We Get Here?

Where others stick to periods and commas, I was (and am) a constant question mark. Why? Where? How? These queries have ruled my vocabulary since the day I learned to talk (which, as we know, was long after I learned to write).

While attending university for journalism, I founded an 80-page health and wellness publication that earned me an apprenticeship with a national magazine that eventually landed me a thought capital writing role in institutional investing—an industry I genuinely Googled after my first day on the job. “What is institutional investing?” (True story)

After two years of faking it with the feds (the Federal Reserve feds), I quit my job and became a freelance writer. That was 2019, also known as the scariest, most exciting year of my life.

Since then, I’ve crafted web and sales copy for some of the smartest, kindest, most innovative brands and humans I know—350 of them and counting!

Lawyers. Photographers. Brand designers. Dog food educators. Accountants. Shop owners. Educators. Coaches. Teachers. Doctors. Personal trainers. Interior designers. Agencies. Florists. Event planners. Tech. Developers. Therapists.

These are the people who’ve helped me become the copywriter, business owner, and woman I am today. I’m still the same nerdy girl with a stack of cardstock and a fist full of markers. Only bolder, slightly more eloquent, and a hell of a lot more committed to making a mark.

Hopefully, we’ll be making one together.

The Stuff You Can’t Quantify

But should definitely care about

Who I Work Best With:

Creatives. Risk-takers. Decisive decision-makers. “I hired you because of your expertise, why would I micromanage?” Service providers. Educators. Speakers. Good humans.

What Makes Me Different:

I write nearly as well as I listen. I ask the right questions (and a lot of them). My heart, energy, and genuine desire to see you win. My background, education, and years of experience.

What I Believe:

All people deserve kindness, respect, and safety. We’re more alike than we are different. Positive attracts positive. Life is meant to be experienced. Laughter is medicine.

Boundaries I’m Big On:

Open and honest communication. Respecting someone’s time and talents. Following through. Collaboration.

Want To Make Sure We’re A Good Fit?

Or maybe just analyze me? (It’s okay, I do it too)

Olympic Events I’d Win Gold In

(If they actually existed)

Typing faster than I can talk

Convincing myself I need “just one more book” (I do)

Curating vibe-specific playlists (here’s one I add favorites to weekly)

Turning every goal into a sticky note situation (just sponsor me already Post It)

Talking to anyone who will listen about my desire to rescue a cow (or two)

A Few Words Of Love

From past clients

“Of my whole redesign project (logos, website, collateral), the words of my website became my favorite, which I never expected. Kaili changed the trajectory of my project. She not only successfully captured my voice but gave me the confidence to lean into my unique brand fearlessly.”

A Few Words Of Love

From past clients

Working with Kaili was an absolute dream! I needed bomb.com copy that represented me and my business. I needed someone who could understand the ins and outs of what I do. And, perhaps most importantly, I needed someone who could adapt to my unique voice. Kaili did all of that and more. Before, I was actually embarrassed at the thought of someone visiting my website because what was on there was poorly written and just did not represent me at all. Now? I'm like CAN YA PLEASE visit my website and read everything that is on there?! Such a good feeling!”

A Few Words Of Love

From past clients

“Kaili is AMAZING! She's super smart, communicative—is amazing at taking feedback, and matching your voice. She has this amazing ability to mind-read and get your thoughts onto paper better than you ever would. I absolutely loved working with her and would do it again and again.”

The Stuff You Want To Know

But are too afraid to ask (also known as FAQs)

I encourage you to be highly decisive when choosing your copywriter. Read their portfolio work. Follow them on socials. Listen to them speak. Ask them questions. Make sure you love the way they explain things and how they communicate. Don’t hire someone just because they have a large following or flashy brand photos (although we love a great brand shoot). Hire them because you trust them to do your story justice. And since you’re here, reading the FAQs at the bottom of my About page, something tells me we might vibe. Go ahead, inquire here and let’s find out.

Copywriting is an investment into your brand’s reputation, positioning, and success. Like most industries, you get what you pay for. I’ve proven my expertise time and time again.

The most common times to hire a copywriter are when building a website, launching an offer, creating a sales page, developing funnels and campaigns, or rebranding. However, another simple indicator you need a copywriter is needing or wanting a designer. The odds are high that if you have a project for a designer, you probably need a copywriter, too.

99% of the time, copy comes before design (even better if your copywriter and designer are working together from the very beginning). Why? Because copy informs design. It’s the foundation on which design is built. Without words, what would a designer…design? A template, that’s what. And before you get all up in arms, I love my design colleagues and don’t believe one is better or more important than the other. But I firmly believe copy comes first.

Yes! My primary design partner is Kierra from Identity Haus. She does incredible work (including this website!) and we work seamlessly together. However, if your design style doesn’t align, there are a few other designers I’m happy to refer you to.
