8 Daily Essentials in My Business (That You’ll Love Too)

If you could be a fly on the wall, where would you go? What would you want to see? That’s the vibe today—you’re the fly on my wall, and I’m sharing all the little things that support me in my copywriting business (and life) I never get to talk about.

What I Consider Essential In My Business

This is not a collection of tools I use every day or materials you have to invest in (although I could do an entire rundown of those, too)—it’s more about all the things helping me get through my day.

We’re talking caffeination, cozy habits, tools I couldn’t function without, and a few things in between. These are the daily essentials in my business—

#1. My Nespresso

I prefer the Altissio and the Altissio Decaffeneinato—I’m an espresso addict, and I don’t plan on seeking treatment anytime soon (and you can’t make me).

#2. Wall Calendar

What can I say? I’m a planner at heart and could never fully convert to the digital calendar. This wall calendar is my go-to; I swear by it and use it every single day.

#3. Notion

If you’re new here, I’d like to formally introduce myself as a Notion girlie. I love how organized it is, and I use it to track everything—my goals, my launches, my digital products, literally anything in my business. It helps me and my VA stay on the same page.

#4. The Laptop Light

Did I ever think a laptop light would become a daily essential? Absolutely not, but here we are. I turn it on first thing every morning—and when I don’t have it on, it actually bothers me now. My computer screen looks so much better with it (and it makes working at night feel like a ~special treat~)

#5. Under The Desk Walking Pad

If you don’t have an under-the-desk walking pad, I highly recommend getting one because they’re amazing. I use mine for 3-4 miles every single day—especially if I’m doing admin, research, or having meetings.

#6. FloDesk

I’m an OG FloDesk user, and if they keep adding new features as they have been, I’ll be hooked forever. It’s easy to use, affordable, cute, and you can use my link to get 50% off your first year.

#7. My Branch Ergonomic Chair

Do not doubt the impact of a good chair in your office when you run your own business. You need a chair that’s comfy, cozy, and good for your back, and this is the one.

#8. Wall Art From Victoria Rose Park

My office is my sanctuary, and having art I love helps me stay focused and keeps the vibe up—my favorite piece is the wall art from Victoria Rose Park, whose work is inspired by the wild.

What Are Your Business Must-Haves?

I can’t be the only comfort creature in the online space with a love for laptop lights and walking pads (I already know there’s a whole community for Notion, and I love it there). And while I hope you found something new—or maybe re-discovered something old—from my list of essentials, I’d love to hear more about you.

Helping business owners tap into the powers of sales, psychology, and storytelling to reach their ideal audience, sell their services & products, and increase their impact is sort of my favorite thing.

I've been fascinated by stories and how they connect us since I was really young, inspiring me to earn a journalism degree before spending time in the magazine world and ultimately founding Reveal. My goal is simple: Help you reveal (get it?) your truth and everything that makes you a 10/10 brand in a way that helps people find you, choose you, love you, and pay you.

This blog is full of my best tips, tricks, and advice. Thanks for stopping by — hope to see you back again here soon
