Creating Ease For An Effortless Buying Experience: The 5th Lever of Reveal’s Brain-Based Buying Framework©

Did you know it’s estimated that an average adult makes about 35,000 remotely conscious decisions each day? From choosing what to eat, deciding what shoes to wear, to liking (or scrolling past) a carousel on their IG feed.

By the time your audience is ready to start thinking about buying, they’re already overwhelmed from the decisions they’ve already made.

But in a world of endless decisions and information, how do you make it easy for your audience to say “yes” to you? You create ease.

Ease removes the barriers between your audience and them saying “yes.” It makes this decision—working with, buying from, or investing in YOU and your offers—a no-brainer.

The Key to Ease: The 5th Lever of Reveal’s Brain-Based Buying Framework©

Ease is the 5th lever of the Reveal Brain-Based Buying Framework©, a simple and scientific 5-step framework that will take your audience from “I’ve never heard of you” to “I’m your new favorite customer.”

This is the lever that makes the offer your audience desires feel achievable and within their reach—they just have to take this next step.

Ease is similar to clarity in that it makes the buying process easier, but where clarity reduces the cognitive load by providing the logistics of your offer, ease reduces the cognitive load by simplifying the experience.

How to Create Ease in Your Marketing

When you create ease, you’re removing a decision. You’re not adding an explanation of “why” or “how.” For example, say you’re selling a website copywriting package. You could create ease by writing clear FAQs explaining your process. You could also take a simpler approach, you could create a pre-build “which package is right for me?” quiz.

Or it could look like adding the pricing to your landing page (even if it’s a starting price) or recording a loom video walking them through exactly what happens after they pay.

Ease often builds when you:

  • Remove steps → things like creating a one-click checkout instead of a form-then-call-then-proposal sequence
  • Pre-answering the “what happens next” question → a simple “here’s what the next 7 days look like” breakdown or video that gets rid of the “leap of faith” feeling when they buy
  • Simplifying the choice itself → one clear recommended option instead of five tiers that make someone stall out comparing (although there are exceptions here, it’s all down to how you’re presenting the options).

The goal isn’t “I trust this will work,” it’s “this is easy, why wouldn’t I.”

Ease Is the Difference Between “I’ll Think About It” and “I’m In”

Even your most excited, ready-to-buy audience member will hesitate if the path to “yes” feels overcomplicated, confusing, or uncertain. Ease is what keeps that hesitation from turning into a “maybe later” (which, let’s be honest, can so quickly turn into “never”).

The good news? Creating ease usually isn’t adding more to your marketing or your offer, rather you’re taking away the things standing between your audience and the confident “yes.”

Ease is the Final Lever (And the One That Gets You the Sale)

Attention gets you seen. Connection builds trust. Clarity makes it click. Desire makes them want it. And ease is what finally gets them to act on all of it.

Skip ease, and you risk losing a “yes” to hesitation, confusion, or a competitor who simply made it easier to buy. Pull it well, and you turn desire into a decision.

Helping business owners tap into the powers of sales, psychology, and storytelling to reach their ideal audience, sell their services & products, and increase their impact is sort of my favorite thing.

I've been fascinated by stories and how they connect us since I was really young, inspiring me to earn a journalism degree before spending time in the magazine world and ultimately founding Reveal. My goal is simple: Help you reveal (get it?) your truth and everything that makes you a 10/10 brand in a way that helps people find you, choose you, love you, and pay you.

This blog is full of my best tips, tricks, and advice. Thanks for stopping by — hope to see you back again here soon
